Available now is this stunning Fender Custom Shop ’51 Nocaster in classic Blonde. Originally built as a factory VOS model, it has been professionally custom aged by a specialist nitro artist into a beautiful Journeyman-style light relic. The result is exceptionally convincing, with fantastic lacquer checking, authentic player wear and an unmistakable early-’50s Blackguard appearance.
Capturing the feel and character of Fender’s earliest solid-body guitars, this Nocaster combines timeless styling with Custom Shop craftsmanship. The traditional Blonde finish, classic body shape and carefully aged detailing give it the look of a well-loved vintage instrument, while retaining the quality and reliability of a modern Custom Shop guitar.
Sonically, the ’51-style pickups deliver all the classic Blackguard character you could want. The bridge offers plenty of bite, snap and midrange presence, while the neck provides a warmer, rounder tone ideal for blues, country and classic rock. Both positions are clear, responsive and wonderfully expressive, reacting naturally to picking dynamics and volume changes.
The guitar plays beautifully, with low action and no buzz, and is set up with Ernie Ball 10-gauge strings. It comes complete with its original Fender Custom Shop hard case, Certificate of Authenticity, Shop Floor Traveller, ashtray bridge cover and paperwork documenting the nitro finish work and hardware ageing.
