Available now is this particularly rare Fender FSR Made in Japan Hybrid Telecaster Custom finished in indigo, produced as a special limited edition model for the Japanese market in 2020. This is a really interesting take on the classic Telecaster, combining traditional Fender styling with a more unusual HS pickup configuration and some very nice modern touches.
The guitar features a roasted maple neck and fingerboard, which looks fantastic and gives the neck a particularly smooth and comfortable feel. The satin finish across the body and neck is another real highlight, giving the guitar a very fast playing feel without the stickiness that can sometimes come with modern gloss polyurethane finishes.
Electronics wise, this Telecaster features a Cunife Wide Range humbucker in the neck paired with a Texas Special single-coil in the bridge. This is a fantastic combination, giving you the warmth, depth and power of a Wide Range humbucker alongside the familiar twang, bite and clarity of a traditional Tele bridge pickup.
This guitar is in excellent, unmarked condition and plays beautifully with low action and no buzz. It weighs approximately 7.5lbs and has been set up with Ernie Ball 10 gauge strings.
