Built in the USA by Gibson’s Custom Shop, this Historic Reissue features a three-ply maple and poplar semi-hollow body with a solid maple centre block, balancing natural resonance with excellent sustain and feedback control. The mahogany neck has a vintage-inspired ’59 Medium C profile, paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and 22 medium-jumbo frets. Kluson single-line, single-ring tuners, an ABR-1 bridge and lightweight aluminium stopbar tailpiece complete the classic specification.
Two Gibson Custombuckers with Alnico III magnets deliver open, dynamic tones, from warm, rounded neck pickup sounds ideal for jazz and blues to the clarity and bite of the bridge pickup for classic rock. The semi-hollow construction adds natural resonance, while the centre block provides sustain and control at higher gain.
