Combining Gibson’s classic semi-hollow design with luxurious appointments, the golden finish pairs beautifully with the multi-ply binding and aged nickel hardware. The subtly aged VOS finish adds an authentic vintage character, capturing the elegance of Gibson’s golden era.
Built by Gibson’s Custom Shop, this reissue features a three-ply maple and poplar semi-hollow body, solid maple centre block and quarter-sawn Adirondack spruce bracing. The mahogany neck has an Authentic ’61 profile, paired with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium-jumbo frets and classic split-parallelogram inlays. Grover Milk Bottle tuners, an ABR-1 bridge and stopbar tailpiece complete the vintage-inspired specification.
Sonically, two Gibson ’57 Classic humbuckers deliver warm, open and expressive tones, from rich, rounded neck pickup sounds ideal for jazz and blues to the clarity and bite of the bridge pickup for classic rock. The six-position Mono Varitone circuit adds impressive versatility, offering everything from full-bodied humbucker warmth to thinner, more cutting textures.
